2 Ohio Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Close After Break-ins

Medical marijuana patients in Canton may have had to visit other locations to obtain their medicine for a little while because Zen Leaf and The Botanist are temporarily closed following break-ins at both dispensaries.

A fireworks store across the street from one of the dispensaries was also broken into, The Columbus Dispatch reported. The good news is – no one was hurt in either break-in. More good news is, it doesn’t appear that the thieves got away with any products that the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program oversees.

Kate Nelson of the Greenleaf Company said, “They were able to get as far as the lobby, but once they were in the lobby, due to the intensive security, they were not able to get any farther in the facility. Obviously these facilities are very secure. They are designed to be very safe for both patients and employees, and this is an example of that security in action.”
