Only 24 licenses to cultivate medical marijuana in Ohio will be awarded. The state has received 185 applications. The applications were just released for completion last Wednesday.
Applicants only had until June 30 to get their applications submitted, according to Fox 8 News. Licenses for 12 cultivators using up to 3,000 sq ft will be issued. Larger scale grows, up to 25,000 sq ft will make up the remaining 12 licenses.
Business plans, staff and security will be factors in determining what cultivators are approved. State compliance, based upon the application, is another contributing factor to the decision making process.
