Ohio wants to make sure its medical marijuana program’s seed-to-sale tracking system is setup properly. State officials want a system that tracks from day 1 until the day the product is sold at a dispensary.
The system will do more than just track a seed through its journey, according to Cincinnati Business Insider. Everything from cultivation and harvest to transporting prepared products to dispensaries must be part of the state’s program. The state is taking applications until March 10 to fill the position.
The multi-faceted system needs to support the tracking of the entire medical marijuana supply chain. Essentially, every step a seed takes must be documented. Three different agencies throughout the state regulate separate aspects of the state’s medical marijuana program, including regulation implementation and general control over the program.
