Ohio Gets Nearly 5,000 Medical Marijuana Recommendations

The application for medical marijuana patients has only been available in Ohio since December 3. The state received 4,964 recommendations from doctors. Some of the applications included are for caregivers.

The Ohio Board of Pharmacy says that 3,575 patients have already received their cards, according to WOIO 19 News. Doctors are able to submit recommendations online. Doctors can recommend patients for one or more of 21 qualifying conditions.

Dispensaries are expected to open soon as some are just awaiting final approvals.
