Central State University has expressed interested in becoming a medical marijuana testing lab for Ohio’s medical marijuana program. The university is working with Buckeye Agriculture for their bid. Hocking College was the first college to step up and become a testing lab for the state.
Hocking College created a $5 million endowment fund to create their own lab and is also adding curriculum related to medical marijuana, according to Fox 45 Now News. The marijuana-related majors at Hocking College will also include courses for marijuana lab technology.
The state has not released details regarding a timeline for determining which institution will become the state’s medical marijuana testing facility.
